A satisfied customer

The Three Acres welcomes arrivals by helicopter.  However, prior permission is requested as the available landing site is often used for wedding marquees.

A satisfied customer recently flew in for Sunday lunch.  However, we did not have any grid reference for GPS purposes and he has kindly provided these as follows for which we thank him:-

Standing within the shadow of the Emley Moor TV transmitter, the landing site is a gently sloping short grass lawn adjacent to the car park with useable size of 200 x 350 ft, surrounded by low walls and hedgerows, the centre of which is located at

53° 36' 33" N
1°   40' 30" W

Care should be taken on approach as the ground has significant relief in parts, particularly towards the transmitter.  The eastern boundary of the lawn abuts a relatively busy public road.  However, depending upon wind direction, a number of surrounding fields are suitable for approach before air taxi to the landing site.

Situated just south of the Leeds Bradford Airport Class D zone boundary, a Flight Information Service is generally available, and recommended, from Leeds Approach on 123.75.
